Lore offers a free tool that turns a sentence about your day into a short "chapter," plus an early-access waitlist for a future app. Your entries are personal, so we keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains exactly what happens to what you write.

Your entries

We don't store your entry or your chapter. When you ask for a chapter, the sentence you wrote is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for the sole purpose of writing that chapter, and the result is returned to your browser. We do not save the text you wrote or the chapter we generated on our servers.
Your entries are not used to train AI models. We send your entry to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your chapter; under their API terms, data submitted through the API is not used to train or improve their models.

What we do collect

Anonymous usage events. We record that pages and the tool were used (e.g. page view, a chapter was generated, a button clicked), together with a random browser ID stored in your browser, a one-way hashed version of your IP address, and your browser type. We use these only to measure interest, prevent abuse, and filter out bot/duplicate traffic. The hashed IP cannot be turned back into your IP address, and these records do not contain the text you wrote.
Your email — only if you give it. If you join the early-access list, we store the email address you submit so we can tell you when the app launches.

How we use it

To gauge interest in the product, to prevent abuse, and — if you joined the list — to email you about the launch. We do not use it for anything else.

Sharing

We do not sell your information. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, and chapter text is processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your chapter, as described above. We don't share your email with third parties for their own marketing.

Retention & your choices

We keep waitlist emails only as long as needed to contact you about the product, and usage events only as long as needed to evaluate interest. You can ask us to delete your email or any data associated with you at any time — just email privacy@chapterof.me and we'll remove it.
